Flounder

Post by red_yakker »

Went gigging last night. The East wind NOAA predicted was actually coming out of the West. They are calling for a West, then North, then East wind tonight. It'll probably be coming out of the South. Needless to say, we had trouble seeing.
I got one nice flattie, one OK flattie and a few mullet.

Nice. Haven't gig in years and never in this area. Can you find the flounder year round or just certain times of the year?

I'm sort of new to it, but from what I understand, the Spring is the best time for flounder gigging.
