sunday tides

Post by dombern34 »

i have been looking at the tides and talking with a buddy of mine. we plan on going out of Econfina as usual. the problem i'm having is picking the time of the day that will be best and save for me to go out. with not much experience on how to fish tides i was hoping someone would help me out. my boat isn't super heavy but it is a 22ft skeeter bay boat. just wanna know what time is best so i can keep my foot to my motor. thanks in advance!!!

It looks like you have a 10am low tide at 0.7' That means there will be plenty of water when you put in at safe light. Get out on the flats and fish the out going tide. At low tide eat lunch tell a few stories and enjoy the view. At 11:00 when the tide swing is going good start hauling them in again. When your arms are too sore from fighting fish around 3pm you will have lots of water to get back on.
