I just got back from a week down there but only did inshore.. weather was too bad for an off shore run.
We fished off the beach and caught some white and silver trout.
Trout are on the flats... I fish out of Panacea. I also hear Turkey Point and Lanark have good numbers.

That wind was kickin' today on my way back from SGI. With the storms/front rollin' through, I expect the same tomorrow.

It only laid down, and barely, after sunset.

she was blowin' a steady 20-25kt all day

Some of the best offshore bottom fishing in the big bend is directly offshore of AP. The ramp situation is a disaster. Run to the West for inshore. Some fish inshore in Alligator Harbor but I haven't ever caught anything in there.

Thanks guys for the help. Ran out of the launch by pine. it was a little to rough of a day for my boat, dont know if ill want to beat myself like that again. but we ran out to some spots while trolling. caught a boat full of spanish. Then hit the spots and caught some bottom fish. Then to the tower and caught 3 AJ's and headed back in. on the long slow ride back in we came across a huge long weed line and slowly stayed down wind of it and spotted 4 cobias. Got two to eat. 33 and 38 lbs. Fun day!

No im sorry I dont have any pictures. I use my iphone to take pictures and put it in the console once we started getting sprayed from the waves. I will next time tho! lol

But does anybody know of any good places to bottom fish off the alligator point area? If so you can PM me if you would like to. Also if interested I mainly fish from mobile to destin area and have killer private spots (limit out every time) if someones willing to share some around this area.
