Keaton report

Post by rocket »

Haven't been able to log on for months...thought I might have been banned :-D but I contacted the new honcho this afternoon and he got me straight.
Fished the last couple of days with the kids and wife at Keaton and we did pretty good. We've been able to eat fresh trout the last 3 nights in a row (tonight being fish tacos :lick: ) so I am happy.
Fish seemed to be from 3-6' of water and I never got to pattern a jig color but new penny definitely wasn't popular which was a surprise.
Only got to redfish for about 30 min with no luck.

Glad your back on!

The trout we had strike wanted a slow presentation.. pop the cork and then let it sit a lot longer than usual.
Same on top water- they would follow it up to the boat without striking.
How about you?

Terrible in the afternoon. 30 knot wind with 4 ft + rollers. Caught fish but could hardly stand up. All they wanted to eat we're live shrimp.
