That's right! $820K for GSA "conference" near Vegas!

not suprising if you've ever dealt with GSA. They bring a whole new meaning to the "$400 hammer."

I beleive it completely. I worked for the Federal Government for 17 years after I retired from the Marine Corps. I seen our Civilian Director have his personal truck blasted and painted in the paint shop by government employees. Had his boat rigged out with all the latest electronincs the Marine Corps could buy, have his personnal weapons completely redone in the small arms shop. Went on countless trips, taking many of the more free wheeling secretaries along for the ride. Other little perks like paying his son $80,000 to landscape our picknick area (by adding two tables and some sawdust) to the area. The list goes on and on. They punished him by retireing him and placing him on a retainer for consultation. The next Director was even more crooked.
