There's a heck of a storm coming from the west along the coast. It's hitting Appalachicola about now. The tower off St George shows the wind speed has gone from 10 kts to 30kts in the last thirty minutes. I imagine this one caught a few people off guard. I hope everyone get's in safely.

A friend of mine took this yesterday. I'm not sure if she was at Mexico Beach or out on Cape San Blas.

Was offshore yesterday and headed back when the ominous clouds were gathering to the north. Within 8 mi of Panacea the wind was indeed up to 30. But, the worst part of the storm had just cleared Fiddler's Point when we passed. If we had started the run in earlier it would have landed us in the middle of it. Talked to a family at the ramp that had fished from Rock Landing for the last two days. They caught three limits of trout and told me where (JT was not guarding his holes) they fished and what they caught them on.
