That is a large area to chose from....Big reds stay near St. Vincent...All the places are doing well for Reds from my experience and reading reports.

I would prefer Econfina and work my way back towards St. Vincent, if I had to put it in order of precedence. I know more about the Econfina area than St. Vincent.

St. Marks area is doing well too.

Fish'm all

There are approximately 15 public boat ramps between Econfina and St. Vincent. If someone would care to pay my expenses, I'll fish one each day for the next 15 days and lat yall know. :-D
What was I supposed to do today?

There is a jetty out in front of St. Marks Lighthouse

There is also a long oyster bar right there as well

Those places are good for reds in the fall, burn zero gas also

econfina reds

Post by volguy »

i have fished ecofina a good bit and have never done very well with the reds. it just doesn't seem to be the fishery that say appalachicola bay is for redfish. i have fished from rock island to aucilla and you always catch a few, but never any big bull reds and never 20-25 fish a day or anything close to that. can anyone expand on this. i know i will get "your an idiot" from someone. hahahhaha
