Econfina 4-6-12

Post by dolphinatic »

Decided to take the day off and go fishing for a change (I can believe in). Haven't done so since August of last year. Called up my buddy Raymond and we hit the Ecky around 7am Friday morning. 1st boat there  Ran out the mouth and east towards Rock Island. Stopped in 2 ft. and started throwing topwater. Just short blowups, but no hook ups. Switched to suspending twitchbaits, and it was on! Trout after trout. Then reds.....BIG ones. By 9am, we had 4 nice reds in the live well along with 10 trout :o Decided to check my phone and saw where BBG was trying to get ahold of me. I got through to him and told him to come where the fish were. Luckily, he found us and was able to get a shot of a few reds.....I forgot my camera due to being rusty from such a long time off

We had good water movement all day and continued to catch and release fish till we left. Off the water @ 2pm. Ready to go again....

TOTAL FOR THE DAY: 4 reds (24"-26.999999"), 10 trout (17"-24")

Nice reds Tom! Glad you took the day off and got out there.

Thanks again for your work on my boat a few weeks ago. Anyone looking to have their boat detailed should call Tom. I have a "new" boat thanks to him. Thanks for the report.
