St George Fishing

Post by fishingfanatic »

I'm going camping at St George this weekend and I've never fished there. Is there good wading on the bay side?

There is some great fishing on the bay side right near the primitive camping area.
Shuffle your feet for the stingrays but trout and reds will be right there... Try topwater early!

We fished on the bayside of the island and were using gulps on jigheads with and without a cork for an hour or two with no luck. Decided to switch to glass minnows and started getting bit every cast. We were able to keep a few macks and a few trout
