Keaton Beach 5/25-26

Post by gandergrinder »

Headed north out of Keaton Beach Friday morning with a co-worker. Caught somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 trout with the largest being right at 21 1/2". Caught all the trout on live pinfish under a cork. Put 10 fish in the box. Headed in closer to fish the bars and picked up a 15" flounder and 2 redfish, both of them were right at 21". (Put them in the box too!) Decided that the day couldn't end up any better and headed home.

Went back Saturday with the family. Fishing was poor to say the least. Picked up a few short trout and one keeper. Also landed a couple of small sharks and one bluefish. Very windy, but we still had a great time out on the water.

How deep on the trout and what did you toss to the reds?

4.5 - 5' on the depth. The reds were caught on a spinnerbait.
