Mashes Sands?
Is it true that you now have to pay to launch there? If so what's the $$ amount

Re: Mashes Sands?
There are usually people there on the weekends and holidays collecting $2. They are not there early. I can't remember what it was for. They used to charge the folks using the beach/pier but have recently moved back up the road before the turn in for the boat ramp. It has caused a few issues and been a bit of an annoyance. I'm sure it is to clean up the beaches or something like that so I have no issue with the $$$. I would prefer they tack $20 on my property taxes and not cause a traffic jam at the boat ramp when someone pulling a 1978 pontoon boat argues with the folks for five minutes and then gets $2 in change out of the ash tray to pay thus backing up boats 500 yards. I got to sit behind that last week! No offense if anyone has a 1978 pontoon boat.

Another argument for wadefishing.
Re: Mashes Sands?
As I understand it, they'll be charging for beach access too. So wadefishing there won't be free eitherGaryDroze wrote:Another argument for wadefishing.

They'll hafta catch me to charge me. If they are willing to follow me through the creeks that empty into the surf...go for it!
