I got an invite to do a little fishing on Tuesday and couldn't pass it down hearing about all these nice snapper being caught since the short 40 day season opened last week. Avery and I met Jeff and Travis at the CBC and headed out around 8am. Put some live pins & hardtails in the boat and headed SE. Stopped in the first spot but only managed a few grunts and a short gag. Headed to spot #2 in 70 ft. and it was on! Put a couple of nice red snapper in the boat to get the skunk off. Headed to spot #3 and proceeded to do the same. This time we found a red grouper willing to take one of the last live pins. We fished a few more spots throughout the day catching snapper in every spot. With the weather kicking up pretty good, we headed in with a nice 4-man limit, some nice rock bass, some grunts and 1 keeper red grouper. Had to release 2 other nice gags Great day out on the water and a big shout out to Jeff for letting us tag along and for Travis driving us around and holding the spots
