Planning to fish St. Marks Friday night/Saturday morning. If we put in at the Lighthouse before dark, can we fish through the night and leave our vehicle there?? I know the gate closes at dark (9:00 pm, I think it is), but can we launch there and stay on the water all night? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

For General Information-You can launch at the Lighthouse and stay out overnight. There is no problem with leaving a vehicle there overnight, and with the automatic gate you can leave whenever you want. The Refuge Officer said it was not uncommon for people to leave vehicles overnight, and he thanked me for calling ahead to let him know our intentions. Very courteous and helpful.
