Visibility at st marks

Post by Joe »

Any possibility of seeing a scallop at st marks Sunday? Went out to the Ochlochonee today to battle the not so elusive bonnet heads and undersized reds. Should have done reconisence.

I seriously doubt it. We were out fishing today on the west flats in what is normally crystal clear water. The water is very dary brown. No visibility at all because of Debbie. :smt010 Maybe it's different out east, but I doubt that also.

Visibility was about 4 ft on the East flats, but very dark water. Saw a bunch of scallop shells, but none alive. I would have rather been battling the undersized reds and bonnetheads. No fish to speak of on the flats for me today.

Thanks for the feedback. 4 feet should be adequate to call it a trip.
