One of the formative influences of my childhood was the hours I sent watching re-runs of the Andy Griffith show with my dad. He had seen every episode a dozen times and knew every character inside and out - good classic southern values were the cornerstone of that show and I am a better father today for the time my dad and I spent with Andy and his kin.
You bet your sweet bippy I'll be watching the show with my son for years to come.
Sad, sad day.
