got to the ramp at 7:00 and got our pick of parking spaces and headed out the canal. We fished from 6-10' and could see the bottom out to 8'. We caught 10 different species and many short trout.
Uploaded with ImageShack.usWe fished till 10:00 catching fish constantly but only had 4 keepers. 1spanish, 1trout, and 2 seabass. We set up a ways from the armada and got in the water.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us We had to move a couple times but we shucked 3 and 2/3 pints of meat. The visability was great out to 7'(at that depth could not quite make them out on the bottom)
Good Deal..We didnt fair so well . We got away from Tville around 0930 and was looking at the craziest thing I'd ever seen at 1130 with the public ramp lookin like a wasp nest and trucks and trailors backed up past the store!! .Well....we opted to wait behind 4-5 trucks and use the lift at the marina.Luckily they drove what seemed like two miles back up the road to pick me up,Good peeps I tell ya.Anywho, went towards Big Grassy because I thought that was thje thing to do,well not the case for us.By noon there was 300 boats if there was two!! We started on the outshirts of the flotilla and found very few scattered (clear in 5-6 ft btw)so we eased a lil deeper among the largest concentration hoping we would hit the motherload,WRONG!!!! As Hit-N-Miss said in that 7.5-8.5 range it was way too hard to make bottom out due to cloudiness(stirred up from all the dang ppl and TS Debbie i guess) so we eventually gave up and decided to fish a lil.Went all the way to Spring Warrior and picked up a few shorts(HOT and 1500/1600 hrs by this point) so stopped at Deckle on the way in in 5ft and went to finding quite a few scattered in gin clear water.Moved 4-5 times and puleed into Tville after dark with 80-100 Scallops.Enough to fry up with some Scrimps at lunch today. All in all we had a good day on the water.

Glad you finally found some. You need to be there before 9 to beat the majority of the crowd. Glad to here that they were at Dekle too. That shows that they are not concentrated in just one area. So maybe people will spread out a little. The right mix of grass is the best way to find them without looking in the wrong spots. If you find the right grass with scallops there, mark it for next time or next year. They will be back....eventually.
