bald pt. today

Post by luceror »

fishing in a kayak- had to wait for some major squals to pass by this morn. fishing between the 2 nearest channel markers straight off the pts beach, just o

itffshore of the large sand bar. Good trt action on a white gulp and cork. alot of floating grass-didnt thro a plug. Day cut short (intrupted) by storms, had to beach it for about 1.5 hrs. When I resumed it wasnt as good but there was still some action.

pretty similar at St Marks. Blow ups on first few casts, all short strikes. Picked up a few fish here and there, storms ran us off and we finally just headed home. Could have waited it out but decided not to. We talked about heading to where you were to wade fish, but a look at the radar said don't bother.
Ducks, turkeys, flats fishing. Who has time for golf?

Yea, u probably made the right decision. after the 2nd "squaL" PASSED AND IT LAID DOWN SOME, there was a pretty good sea comming in from offshore., where there was no swell earlier. made me think there must have been some Wind out hthere somewhere so I gave it up when it got threating looking again! Fished there once last week and when I finally fd.some fish (in the same area as yesterday) it was all good. Hooked a 70/90 lb Tarpon on a gulp/cork rig that day. Got 3 good jumps out of em before the backing on my reel popped..POW!!
