St. marks scallops

Post by filetandrelease »

Didn't fare too well in the fishing department today, but there were more scallops than I felt like cleaning. Place was packed with boats as well. Still on the smaller side, but plenty there!

It is still dark tinted like coffee. It actually reminded me exactly what the ochlocknee looked like in a narrow section behind my buddies house. However, despite the dark color it was surprisingly fairly clear. I could see the bottom in 4 1/2-5 ft. of water from the surface. Most of the time I just dove to the bottom and swam around and looked, but you can also see them just cruising the surface.
