Ochlockonee River history question
Does anybody know any history on the pilings on the Ochlockonee River down past the sand bar? Was there a train crossing? I have been unable to find any documentation or records regarding wood pilings crossing the river there

Search Camp Gordon Johnson or call the Sopchoppy City or ask Wevans, he lives down yonder :)

Yes, the train crossed the river there. The pilings around the little Island are whats left of the depot. The boats would load and off-load there. I'll see if I can find a site for ya to look at. The old depot in Sopchoppy has been restored and they probably have a lot of info there also
