This takes the cake.....
I was cleaning up the reels from the 18 hours of riding on top of the truck and being fished every day...Noticed the Ambassador didn't sound to good......Tied the practice plug on and threw it a couple of times, it wasn't throwing as far as I like to, so I broke her down and lubed her up. First cast in the top of the pine tree in the back of the yard....Thats the ticket.....I changed direction and threw it across the yard...Reel still not sounding quit right, so the next cast I flip it out there and watch the spool on the cast a retrieve.....Half way in I look up
, a cat is chasing my practive plug, no wait a minute, a long eared cat...It's a rabbit
...No sheet, I pulled a rabbit off the fence line and had him within 5 feet of me....

If you ever see a hawk perched nearby, throw that plug out on the yard and retrieve it back nice and easy with a little twitch to it.
You would think a hawk would be smarter than that, but around here anyway, you WILL get bit.
Whatever you do, never, ever, NEVER, do this with a plug with hooks. Especially not one of those rubber frogs with the two hooks pointing up on either side.
