Thanks reelhandy I will check out that web site & see if I can purchase a data card. I will get back with you when I get the card. I only need the download in the Big Bend area, because it has the best fishing anywhere around. Thanks again, sorry about the double post. Senior moment !!!

If you haven't bought the data card yet. I have a small capacity data card that I don't need that I'll send to you for nothing if you send me your address. It's already set up with the latest (2008) maps of the Big Bend down to Key West then up to Jacksonville, and also over to Corpus Christi. It's the card that came with the Parker and it was Garmin programmed to have just the Chesapeake Bay on it. I put the Chesapeake Bay back on it as well. I have another larger capacity data card coming that I plan to use after I've programmed both the whole east coast and gulf coast into it.
If you want me to tweak it I can. You might want the Georgia coast instead of the Texas coast, and I don't guess you need the Chesapeake Bay. It's a 16mb card so it is limited, but it can still hold a good many maps and it doesn't make sense to not fill it. Let me know.

I just when through this with my brother's 178C, the latest bluechart available is from 2008 and as posted earlier you can get them from ebay but watch the date code. If your just fishing local shouldn't be a problem. He finally upgraded to the 541.
