What do you use and how do you rig it?

I was on the trout and ran out of scrimp last year, so I caught a ladyfish, engaged fillet and release tactics, and then used strips from the fillet. Trout seemed to like it, but they were in a big meat eating mood that day (would only nudge jigs).

I use pinfish when I fish with CSMarine...He showed me how to cut them....take the knife and starting a little left of the dorsal fin (mouth to the left & tail to the right), cut a straight line from there to the right of the anus......Then split the piece in half, a piece of tail on the top and bottom pieces.

Note, keep the heads and guts in the boat, less shark bait in the water the better....

Then using a 1/0 to a 4/0 (your choice) live bait hook, hook it threw the end, opposite the tail (Kinda like how Tyoneone, fishes flukes

Then put some heavy split shot about 12-15 inches up the line....

That's how myself and CSMarine does it.....

You can omit the weight and fish it on top or use a carolina rig

Thanks for the info. I'll try it if I get to go. My dad may have to work Friday.
