St. Marks Cobia
Has anyone been seeing any Cobia around St. Marks? I haven't had much luck out of St. Marks lately. I remember in years past we would catch stuff over the St. Marks Reef - mainly sharks but a Cobia every now and then. This year it seems hard to even catch a shark. Seems strange and was wondering what other people are noticing recently.

June was a super hot(the bite)you may have gotten a late start, the fall transistion will be happening soon and you will be able to catch tarpon and cobia migrating back south in a little while. About a month ago everyone was on fire with the cobia and you couldnt keep your bait in the water because of the sharks.I'm hoping to go Sat morning if the weather premits.

Can't wait for the fall transition! Given the weather pattern these days, first light Saturday is the best bet I suspect. That's what we're shooting for. Get up, look at the radar and report. That seems to be the pattern of late. Of course, we're all still waiting on the Jumptrout report.

I came face to face with a hoss of a cobia two weeks ago while scalloping around the rock garden. Really wished I had my pole spear at that time.
