Installed spiderwire on my baitcasters when i bought them 11 years ago, have not changed the line since??? Now something that is better than this ??? The other day i had a doctor's appointment and i was running late. While tying my shoe the darn lace breaks!!!! Well i didn't have time to change it, so i just jury rigged it!! Went to the store for new laces and they ask me "what length?"?? I told them give me the longest ones you have. As it turns out, they were twice as long as i needed!! Told my wife i had to cut the shoe laces down and asked if she had some glue to put on the ends to keep them from unravelling..... She comes out with this batttery power little gizmo, about the size of the "line remover"shown in the video. She asks me how long do i want them, i show her and she puts this thing in the lace and it starts to smoke???? It cut the lace in half and seared the end of the lace. I was impressed!!! Then i started thinking, "why don't they have these for cutting braid??? It wouldn't have that fuzzy little end on it !!!

Pretty cool lace shortener. I have a whole roll of Coca Cola shoe laces from an old roller skating rink. They would just cut off what they needed. They don't make laces like that anymore.
