I have also ventured down the slave trail, was pretty cool but very rough stuff and right now with the water down you prob can't through it , it's located about a couple miles south of goose pasture down on the right and comes out on the aucilla.

We have done the Econfina about P.C. at hwy 20 with one vehicle. We put in at 20, canoe up to first tributary to left - canoe down to spring. Then we go back down creek past the bridge to another spring on right. Swim awhile, then canoe back up to bridge. It is work - not a lot of canoeing but fun swim areas. Of course, you could pay to put in right above the bridge at Econfina Canoe livery and pay them to bring you back from either 20 or 388. The trip down to 388 is really nice - but there aren't any springs to swim in past the one right after the bridge at 20, so it all canoeing.
