Re: Trolling Motors
Well, the Minn Kota Riptide ST 101 was installed this week. They sent the CoPilot/AutoPilot one instead of the IPiloat, so that has to get exchanged. Of course, we had to head out today to check it out. It is AWESOME! Can't wait for the IPilot and added features, especially the stop/lock that Zload posted about. Turned the boat on a dime and very quickly. Got into some pretty skinny water for our boat (about 18"). It was also nice to be able to hug an oyster bar and keep going! I still don't like that thing on the front of the boat, but will have to concede that it made fishing a whole lot easier than trying to maneuver a 5000lb boat with a big engine in shallow water! Given today's trip, I'll give up aesthetics and opt for the abililty to control the boat and maneuver sneeky. Can't wait for O'dark thirty on Monday.

Sounds good, very nice setup, I will be on the lookout for you all next time I'am out. I bet with all the amenities you have aboard there shouldn't be a problem finding a cold beverage or three if JT is with me.tallykenjsbetterhalf wrote:Well, the Minn Kota Riptide ST 101 was installed this week. Reelbad,
Stop on by anytime! Would be great to meet you! JT would need to give up a honeyhole though.
