Boat crash from inside (Video)

Post by mjsigns »

Boat crash from inside the boat shows the passengers getting tossed around after hitting a wake. Not sure where or when but this one is relatively new and worth viewing. Slow-motion of the accident. Them folks up north don't know nuthinn' about boating...

hard to call that an accident.....watch the way he is working the throttle just prior to the "event".........this is more closely related to "allowing stupid people to create a HEY WATCH THIS" moment........

hate when anybody is hurt under any circumstance.....but dang, this is suppose to happen when you act foolish....just my opinion

I can't believe those bikini tops stayed on! Seriously though, that's a scary video. Amazing how the driver just gets tossed across the boat headfirst into the gunnel.

If you look closely he is motoring along smoothly at mid throttle up to the 5 second mark. Then the scene changes and now he is wfo and chopping the throttles as the props (and the boat) leave the water. (Pretending to be one of those offshore racer dudes)

Anyone who runs a Fountain at top speed with everyone in the boat just standing around like they are on a pontoon boat river cruise is a idiot right off the bat. They are lucky that no-one got killed.

Looks like he passed out to me also. He makes no attempt to put his hands out on his way down. They seem to be limp and to his side.

Need to see it in real time to see just how fast it happened.

NORMAL SPEED------

Looks like he did actually pass out... too many G's or too many :beer: 's
The other points of interest are;
the girl in the light green bikini -she gets a enormous facial "blast" of water; and
then "sunglasses" two pair- going airborne is kind of cool.
Further review shows the boat did not have "zero-feedback steering". When the captain colapses and releases the wheel, the boat makes and abrupt almost 90 degree turn at great speed, giving the poor girl in the light green bikini a"facial blast" and slamming everyone into the left side of the boat (left -from the captains prospective)

Here is the same clip in "real time", and then repeated in Slo-Mo -

Here is a link with further explanation. Apparently with some dispute, he was estimated to be going between 70-100 MPH!! :smt021 Also, looks like the camera man (guy in the blue shirt in the back) who was riding along for this TV segment got the worst of the injuries with a broken leg, broken wrist, and ruptured disc. Driver got tickets for careless operation and also a seating violation.

When you watch it in real time, I think it happened so fast the driver had no time to react. I'm still amazed we didn't see some flying boobs!

Ok, I'm not usually prone to inject humor into a serious accident, but I found this Re-Mix to Michael Jackson.
