Mildew & Mold Cleaner

Post by Badbagger »

Ok, I have a few VERY uncooperative spots of mildew and mold on the seats of the boat despite trying to stay after it. The normal vinyl cleaners aren't cutting it, nor is Simple Green pretty much straight out of the bottle.

So before I invest in $100 worth of stuff that won't work tell me, what works for you?

Thanks

If it's the black mold, try a magic eraser. It worked great on our last boat. If concerned about a vinyl warranty check the manufacturere approved cleaners. The magic eraser should do the trick. If it doesn't, you haven't spent a fortune. If it's the pink mold, that comes from underneath the vinyl because of moisture and you can't remove it. It's a problem that the vinyl manufacturers are trying to figure out.

X-14 does wonders on mold, don't let it sit to long, spray off.
