Gander Mountain is da bomb!
Wife and I went to Valdosta today to eat at Olive Garden, then I wanted to check out the new Gander Mountain store. Well, I know some of you have already been there, but we were both really impressed with the big selection they had on just about everything. They don't carry a very big selection of black powder stuff, but there were a few essentials like cleaning supplies, caps, and a few big game bullets. All kinds of ammo, I spent close to an hour just in the gun section. They have lots of tackle, rods, reels, and boat stuff. I found some things for my Mercury that I usually get in Bass Pro Shops. We spent about 20 minutes playing with a Lowrance GPS, depth finder combo that was really cool. They have lots of them set up on similator. The store seemed a little pricey on most items, but it was still nice to be in such a big store after being from a small town that really doesn't have much of anything. I can't wait for Academy Sports to open, then we can go do it again.
