Down and....
Seems I've torn two tendons in my left shoulder and to be honest, I'm not certain just how although I'm betting on picking up too many Walmart bags from the back of the better the wife's Highlander. Been out of work now for a couple of weeks and to the surgeon tomorrow and we'll see what happens. Can't even consider launching the boat so my fishing is limited to dreaming lol. Work is out of the picture due to my restrictions etc.

Re: Down and....
I did this after being thrown from a horse , I also broke my collar bone.
The only solution was rest and it was a frustrating 5 weeks before I felt much real improvement.
If it requires surgery, then it is a very bad tear.

Thanks. I've read the MRI report and it reads "partial tear".. no indication of just how partial lol. All I know is that it hurtz like all get out even to try to lift a full cup of coffee or a glass of soda etc.
Re: Down and....
Has the DR recommended physical therapy? You don't want to end up with limited mobility in that shoulder joint. I hate to hear that for you. That kind of pain will take your breath away when it catches.
Re: Down and....
Went to my GP. Headed to TOC tomorrow to see a specialist. I've got a pretty high tolerance for pain and it takes a LOT to annoy me however, this is just special lmao.
Re: Down and....
That group of docs has fixed me up, scoped both knees, and right shoulder. Never tore tendons. Sorry to hear you are going through surgery, it's never "fun", and always painful. Hang in there and do what the Doc says and you should recover just fine...

Time is the most precious commodity we have in life, stay focused.
Re: Down and....
Thanks... hopefully no surgery but whatever it takes to get it done.
Re: Down and....
TOC, Dr. Haney, who I heard has retired has tied me back together a couple of times. Scoped both knees, repaird the acl in one. I still need the other acl repaired. Not ready yet. Also, have a torn rotator cuff. It hurts ALL the time. Not ready for surgery. Good luck!

Re: Down and....
SORRY TO HEAR THAT. I HAVE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE WITH A DISLOCATED ROTATOR CUFF FOR THE LAST 15 YRS., BEEN SEEING DR. WALTER OVER IN THOMASVILLE, HIS NURSE GIVES ME A SHOT OF CORTISONE ABOUT EVERY 4 YRS AND IT HELPS A LOT BUT CAN NOT SHOOT A SHOTGUN FROM MY RIGHT SHOULDER ANY MORE. LUCKY , I GUESS, I CAN CAST WITH MY LEFT ARM AS WELL AS MY RIGHT, AFTER ABOUT 2 HOURS OF CASTING I HAVE TO SWITCH FROM MY RIGHT ARM TO MY LEFT. I WOULD TRY THERAPY AND SHOTS FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE I WOULD HAVE IT OPERATED ON. MY EXPERIENCE.
