St Marks 9/29 and 9/30

Post by guthooked »

Me and my son fished St Marks Sat and Sun. Bite was pretty good Saturday, a little less so Sunday. Managed 6 keepers on Saturday with 4 specks between 16 and 20 inches and 2 sand trout. Fish were all caught on new penny gulps in 4 to 6 feet of water. Sunday we fished the same spots with 5 keepers, all sand trout. The water was very dark and 81 degrees.

That's a handsome young man and a very nice trout!. Did you fish St. Marks proper, the river, or run East or West of the Lighthouse?

I was out past the lighthouse moving around quite a bit. Most were caught to the west but a few to the east. On both sides I was drifting in 4 to 6 feet.
