has anyone been doing any crappie fishing yet? would love to catch some and have a fish fry!!

Yes, been catching them in 36' of water at Lake Blackshear in GA. The lake in Albany has been lowered and I hear they are wearing them out there.

i saw some guys crappie fishing at iron curtain on lake talquin yesterday. they didnt look like they were doing any better than me.

Me and a buddy cleaned 28 big specs at Talquin saturday. 10 bags of filets. :lick:

He released a 1.9 lb spec this evening as a matter of fact. :D

Redbelly were those fish on live minnows or on jigs?
