I find that when it matters, I tie the palomar. Tournements, big fish chances, hyped up trips...etc.
Day to day, esp when out on the water, I find myself reverting back to the improved cinch knot. I'm not sure why. I guess its just habit. I have full confidence in both knots and neither is really any easier to tie than the other.
Add the rapala loop knot to that, and its all the knots I use.

I use the Palomar knot and cinch knot the most, probably the cinch more because the palomar knot is harder with lures and popping corks. Though, when using fluorocarbon leader I try to use the palomar knot, supposedly its better with fluoro than the cinch.

The other knot I use is the triple surgeon when tying a leader to my main line. Those three knots I use 99% of the time.

I would like to get in the habit of using some sort of loop knot to tie my lures, hooks to my line for some extra action but I have yet to really learn one yet.
