St.Marks, 7/22/04 Brief

Post by dbplug »

Took my 3 kids to the LH yesterday, more goofing off than anything else. Put in at 1300, one hour past dead low. water nearly glassyWater temp around 88 all day. Not many folks out there.

Stopped by the bar by the tripod and swam. Kids wanted to snorkel, so we headed to the RG. Snorkeled all around Grey Mare, Tons and tons of schools of bait fish. Several varieties, I would tell you what they were but I am unfamiliar with ID'ing them. Headed south to 11' at about 1600. Caught a 2'shark(kids loved that), 2 very large rock bass, one short trout, several pins. Had something break off 25lb test with a pin on it. Don't know what it was. No DS's. Wind picked up out of the south, Seas 1'. Off the water at 1815.

SeaGurl, you says it tires 'em out - shoot, I usually have to pull off the side of the road coming back home so I don't run off in the woods - the autopilot can't seem to stay awake either.
