WE USE TO USE A HALF OF A CONCRETE BLOCK, ALSO USED THE HOUSING OF A THIRD MEMBER REAR END, THEY ALWAYS WORKED GOOD. DID NOT KNOW WHAT A NEW ANCHOR WAS UNTIL ABOUT 70 YRS. AGO, THE FIRST ONE I HAD WAS GIVEN TO ME BY TED WILLIAMS, HE SPONSORED SEARS PRODUCTS AND WE FISHED TOGETHER A LOT BACK IN THE 40'S DOWN WHERE THE SUWANNEE DUMPS INTO THE GULF.

I had a Sears Ted William's 12 gauge pump. It's one of those gone things that I now wished I'd never gotten rid of.

Pa, you remember Granny at Odulund Island? And the camphouse?

And he is talking about the floating ball, not the anchor for the ball.

Thanks for the post Pa, I loved all the Ted Williams stuff you could find at Sears but what I need is a larger BIG ORANGE ball to retrieve my anchor. I can pick up one at AMS but thought someone might have one laying around that they would sell me.

I SHOULD HAVE KNOW WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT, SEEMS LIKE I GET SOME THINGS CONFUSED MORE OFTEN THAN I USE TO. SORRY ABOUT THAT, I WILL TRY TO DO BETTER IN THE FUTURE.
