Bay Boat questions

Post by Major Wader »

Thinking about buying a bay boat and have some questions.
Does anyone have any experience with a SeaPro boat? Saw the SV2100CC at a local dealer and it looks good. All my boat experience is with bass boats and jon boats, but I am ready to move up.

I want a boat in the 20-22 foot range that will float fairly shallow for inshore fishing, but will carry a 150 Yamaha 4 stroke and have enough freeboard to be safe offshore (max 6-8 miles) in good weather (2-3 foot seas or less). I am open to suggestions on other brands.

THE SEA PRO IS A FINE BOAT, I HAVE NEVER OWNED ONE BUT HAVE FISHED OUT OF ONE MANY TIMES, THEY ARE A GOOD SOLID BOAT. YOU MIGHT CONSIDER LOOKING AT THE AQUA-SPORTS, THEY ARE GREAT FOR SHALL0W WATER AND FOR GETTING OFF SHORE ON SELECTED DAYS. I HAVE HAD 2 , ONE A 20' AND THE OTHER A 22'. YOU CAN FIND SOME OF THESE VERY RESONABLE IF YOU LOOK AROUND. THE REASON I BOUGHT MINE WAS THE HIGH FREEBOARD, HIGH ENOUGH TO GO OFF SHORE AND YET LOW ENOUGH TO CAST ON THE FLATS.
