I'm with you, I believe that is what the State calls posesson. I bet if you asked 10 differant FWC officers you would get 7 differant answers

There is an exception for culling during a tournament, if there is a waiver filed and granted for that tournament. The problem as I see it is there is no way to get past the slot limit rule. Any fish over 27" cannot be "possessed" , therefore, unless the law changes the Florida record cannot be broken.

This could have been a line class record - caught today with Capt Dini - Flywater Expeditions

"Wish we were fishing 20#. This one would have been a world record...
46.75" length
28.75 girth
Just shy of 43 lbs!!! This is an untouched iphone photo. Doesnt do the fish justice but you can see she's chunky..."

Pretty sure SaltyGator and Mrs SaltyGator could produce world class red's if the were allowed to 'posses' them. Just Sayin... salute3
