Aucilla 10-26-2012

Post by outdoor7or24 »

Took off to hit the high tide that afternoon with wife and friend, knew it was going to be tough with the wind and also no live shrimp left at JR's. Got some frozen shrimp instead and headed out. Not long after starting my wife hooks into a drag screamer, 22 inch red. After hearing slow reports, I am thinking we have found the fish! Well one black drum and that one redfish was all we could find. Pretty day to be on the water minus the wind gusts of 15+ mph. Not to bad once getting in some creeks and cuts.

Water was stained black still, I had issues seeing more than 8-12 inches...

  Nice trip and fish. It should get better in the river with the cold weather coming in.

That is what I am planning on, those reds moving up into the creeks with the cold weather.
