Putting pontoon in at lighthouse?

Post by kenfly »

Was thinking of going out for a bit tomorrow and thought about taking the pontoon. I have a 18ft bass buggy with a 25evin and was wondering if I would have a prob getting in and out with the tides the way they are right now at the light house. I've been there plenty of times before in the Jon and I know it gets pretty low. If I have to I can take it instead. Any thoughts?

With a negative low around 11, you would have to put in early and take out late IMO :-?

PS: and there's that N/NE wind on top of that :o

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of, may have to bust the ole Jon out, or endless the fish are in the river between the fort and lighthouse I can put it in at fort. Just can't run real far with that 25 it takes me a good 45 min to reach lighthouse out of fort
