Well, no time for fishing, diving, etc lately, so I thought I would go look for a deer since doe season opened Saturday. Got in the stand around 6:30am, and 30 minutes later, had enough light to start scouting the area. About 7:20am, I hear a ruckus to the right of me through the thickest part of where I'm sitting. I can see movement, but can't make out the critters. Then I see antlers

It's a decent shooter buck with 3 does. I have a small spot in the growth to shoot through, so I stand up in the deerstand and aim. I see the antlers walk into the scope, so I shoot! BAM......buck down. The .243 had done it's job perfectly with a nice shot to the neck

The deer was a smaller 8pt and weighed 172 lbs. Not bad to start the season
