Econfina water conditions?

Post by RHTFISH »

Thinking about doing some moonlitin out of Anky Fri and Sat nights
if weather cooperates. Went down and tried last month only to get on
flats at 3am and not able to throw topwater due to floating grass.
Anyone got an update on water conditions? Info appreciated!
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Don't know for sure over that way, but St. Marks was completely grassed out this weekend.

Lots of grass everywhere. I went last Saturday and had trouble with Mirrolures and topwater due to the floating grass. Go anyway though. Beats sitting at home.......right?

rhtfish-
If you decide to go you will be looking at a full
moon on both nights, and there are two minor
feeding periods between 4 and 6am both nights.
Be sure to check your lure for grass after each cast.
There should be enough light to see the floating grass,
if it is not overcast. Wish I could go!
