Fishing Thanksgiving Dog Island

Post by Kayakmon »

Just letting you all know we fished Bay-side on Dog Island this holiday using mainly Gulp white shrimp. Very few hits, I caught 3 Trout in a row but had to throw them all back as they were too small. Caught 2 keeper flounders.

Saw nice sized Mullet schools in the late afternoon under several docks. Water is very clear. I saw more dolphins out there this holiday than I have seen in a long time.

Guess they ate all the fish!

Water is too cool in the shallows there.

You fished the wrong side of the bay. The fish are on the 98 side.

I fished the Ochlocknee Bay/Bald Point on Sunday. From 0730 to 1700 we landed two 14" trout. The dolphins wouldnt leave us alone! I'll post a video later.
