Flounder

Post by jslorenz3 »

Got out from the lighthouse yesterday after class for the outgoing tide. My friend and I started off targeting reds but didn't see a single one! ended up finding a nice flounder hole though. Pulled out a total of ten flounder in a matter of about twenty five minutes. Kept 8 of them. All were caught on jigs, mainly new penny 3" gulp shrimp. Would have stayed longer, but it began to get dark.

After a trip back to my apartment and a quick cleaning, we had a great fried flounder and grits dinner

Great spontaneous trip after class!

Flounder and grits sound awesome right about now, too bad i've got a ham in the oven. What was the weather, tide, time and water temp like? Great report!
