My father and law and I put in at lanark arond 1:00. It satrted as a pretty day, sunny and flat calm. Around 2:00 it got foggy with some larger rollers. The tide was coming in when we put in, but still very low, we ran to dog I, looking for the big reds. No luck. then, we hit 3 spots that have produced big reds this time of year in the past, no luck. We came in a little closer, around 3 when the tide was a little higher. Our first spot produced 2 18" reds that were released(good karma to follow). Our next 2 spots didn't produce. We ran east and hit one more spot and got into em good. It seemed every cast caught a fish. We had 4 or 5 doubles. We tried our best to keep count but when it is that fast, you loose track. Best guess 20-25 keepers in 30-40 minutes. Most fish were 22-23, bit my pa in law got a nice 25" and I got 2 24". Not the monsters we were looking for, but a really hot bite. There was a father and son fishing near us that saw and heard us as we got after em. They were polite and didn't poach our spot. So after the bite died, we motored over to them and chatted. They hadn't caught a thing all day and had some women that were expecting a fresh fish dinner. We gave them 2 of our reds to take home. they said they were going to tell their wives that they caught the fish, i said go ahead, maybe she will let you come back out. Pay it forward!! It was a great day spent with my father in law.

Ha ha, I'm sure you do Mr." Don't fish my holes". They we're actually fishing from the bank with pyramid sinkers and chicken rigs. Coming to our spot would have involved a wade thru some nasty mud. I felt ok giving them half of our catch.
Mr Williams, I hope to see y'all out. The usual spots?

Mr. Williams, A sea tow membership would make a good gift in the future. It would probably also give you piece of mind that your boy is covered in case he breaks down or runs out if gas.

David, we already have BoatUS package and love it, didn't need it the other day though. Fish are indeed starting to stack up in their usual haunts. Tight lines everyone, see you on the water!
