St. Augustine
I'm thinking about taking our annual Thanksgiving trip to St. Augustine this year.
I would appreciate any recommendations on inshore guides, places to stay and places to eat.

For fine dining, you won't get better than The Columbian Restaurant.
A1A Ale House has a great menu, local beer, lots of specials and outside terraces, where you can sit and watch the boats go under Bridge of Lions.
Accommodation varies, over the years, we have stayed at cheapo motels and not so cheap, Bed and Breakfasts in the Old Town.
All the familiar named Hotels are all around the edge of town.
One advantage of staying with them, is that you know exactly what to expect.
We never prebook, but visit the Visitors Centre when we arrive. That way you can negotiate a better rate.
Of course Thanksgiving may be a busy time and prebooking would be necessary.

Thanksgiving at St. Augustine
Some additional good restaurants are: Conch House, Gypsy Cab, Le Pavillion and Salt Water Cowboys. I can't help with guides, but the inshore fishing should be tops at that time of year.
What tpye of accomondations are you looking for? I have a rental condo there that sleeps six and has all the necessities of home. Included are two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a fold out sleeper sofa.

Is it the Columbia or Columbian? I think the one in Tampa is Columbia but I remember seeing a sign that said they had another restaurant in Edit : St. Augustine.
We are talking about a Cuban restaurant, right?

It most certainly is the Columbia.
I have seen someone else suggest its one of two, or three, by the same name in Florida.
But, when I asked Restaurant Manager if they were "related", he said "No".

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
