Launched at about 8:00, caught bait for about 30 mins. and off we went to our spot 30 miles away, or so we thought. It was rough, so we couldn't go to where we had planned. So we decided to head the total opposite direction and look for some spots near Dog Island. We found 2 new spots, one in 55 ft. the other in 45 ft. and that was all it took. As soon as we dropped down we were into the shorts. Then we started catching a keeper here and there. We ended up with a limit by 1:00 despite the conditions. Total tally: 8 gags, 7 reds, and 1 grunt... yes we were in state waters. All this in sight of Dog Island. No big ones today, but still a limit
Them smaller fish taste better anyhow WTG, making the best out of the trip
