They should have bought some of those children's life jackets that were on sale. Mine came in today; darn good for $10. Thanks for the tip, bman.

I'm gonna try it with mine, but first I need to go to Home Depot and pick up a few dozen extension cords.

Just mount a generator on the front of the boat. I'm sure you would not be able to hear it running over the propulsion system.
