Blueberry Bushes

Post by MarkM »

I've got a blueberry patch that needs thinning. I'm going to move some myself but, if anybody wants to come out dig some up, you're welcome to them. PM me or call. I'm in NE Gadsden County. 850-508-0634.

Are they high bush or rabbit eye? Keep planting them and get up a few acres.

They're rabbiteyes. I wish I had time for a few acres. But, I'm taking some and finishing a row I started last year. C'mon, everyone needs some blueberries.

MarkM, that might be like giving away fish. "Are they cleaned?" You might have better luck to charge a 100 bucks with a large discount if you dig them up yourself :) It is generous of you to offer but no thanks.

Mark -

Melissa and I would like to have a few. We had some in our yard, but they got shaded out by some quick growing hedge bushes. We are going to move the few that are left, and will come get some more from you.

Make a mound of pine bark or shaving and plant bushes in the mound. In full sun.

If only I had a little more sun in my yard. I hate pine trees.

I had a total of 18 plants around my yard --- my deer love them, they just eat them down each year until they die !!!

The deer don't mess with my blueberries. In fact, knock on wood, nothing messes with my blueberries. I fight every varmint there is in my area on everything else I grow. And it's a BATTLE!!!

Steve, you need to get them within the next week or so. With the warm weather, spring is springing early. They transplant better, earlier, better than later.
