We didn't get on the water until noon. Wasn't going to even go but it didn't look like the weatherman had got it right, so we tried it anyway. Didn't go offshore because I figured it would get bad--went a few miles east of the lighthouse and handed the wife a rod. Five minutes later, the bite was on. Put several keeper trout in the boat over the next few hours. We kept watching the clouds and when it got bad enough, we decided to break camp, but it was a little too late. We got a bit damp on the way back in.
Final tally was 6 trout 18" - 21", 4 rock bass, 1 shark. (Plus quite a few short trout and rock bass.) Caught all of them in about 10 feet of water.
Good Job Sharkboy, probably saw you out there, the only other boat I saw to the east. Think I left ahead of you. Gimme a shout next time. We will lie to each other. Should be back on the 13th.
I salute you sir, on a great day of catching, when most was just fishing and grovel at your womans feet
