3/9 Keaton Beach
Went to Keaton yesterday with Skylar (my girlfriend) and my pup Kleatus. We finally got on the water about 10:30 after not being in a rush to get down there. Didnt really catch anything on the incoming tide. Tried a few different places and finally on the out going tide we found 2 nice trout. I hooked up on a 22" trout on a topwater (my first ever on topwater plug) and as soon as i got him in the boat Skylar hooked up on a 20" trout with a live shrimp under a cajun thunder. Between trying to get both fish unhooked and Kleatus freaking out (it was his first fishing trip) it was a hecktic few minutes! We had to leave shortly after to take our other dogs to the vet. I think we loaded up about 2 30. We only caught the 2 trout but atleast we didnt get skunked and the fish will be tasty for supper tonight!

I LIKE IT!
A good report and you did catch some trout. A friend of mine went that same day and tore up his foot on the motor when he hit a rock. He and his son caught one trout. I'd say you do good!
